Temporary Closure – January Renovations
Epping Family Dental will be closed for renovations from 5 January to 12 January.
We will re-open on 13 January.
During this period, our phones and voicemail will be monitored periodically. For urgent dental issues, please follow the after-hours and emergency instructions below.
After-Hours and Emergency Dental Care
If you have a dental problem outside our normal opening hours or when the practice is closed:
1. Non-urgent concerns
If your issue is not an emergency (e.g. minor sensitivity, chipped tooth without pain, lost filling but no swelling):
- Call our practice on (02) 9868 6288 and leave a detailed voicemail with your name, date of birth and best contact number.
- You can also contact us via our website enquiry form and we will respond on the next business day.
2. Urgent dental problems when we are closed
If you have an urgent dental problem such as severe toothache, broken tooth causing significant discomfort, or a lost crown/temporary that is causing pain, you may contact our sister practice:

They provide general and emergency dental care and may be able to see you promptly if we are unavailable.
3. Serious dental emergencies
If you experience any of the following, please seek immediate care:
- Rapidly increasing facial swelling
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Uncontrolled bleeding
- Significant trauma to the face, jaw or teeth (e.g. from an accident)
In these situations:
- Call 000 for an ambulance, or
- Present to your nearest hospital emergency department.
4. Existing Epping Family Dental patients – urgent advice
For existing patients of Epping Family Dental who have had recent treatment and need urgent clinical advice when the practice is closed, you may contact:

How to Provide Feedback, Compliments or Concerns
We welcome all feedback as it helps us improve our care and services.
Patients and carers can provide compliments, suggestions or complaints in any of the following ways:
- In person: Speak with your treating dentist or any of our reception team.
- By phone: Call us on (02) 9868 6288 and ask to speak with the Practice Manager.
- In writing:
- Via our website contact/enquiry form, or
- By email or letter addressed to the Practice Manager (details available at reception and on our contact page).
We aim to acknowledge and address concerns as quickly as possible. Many issues can be resolved directly with the practice team.
