Meet Dr Louise Tan, BDS (Dentist)
With a family-focused approach to dentistry, Dr Louise Tan cares for patients across every stage of life. She graduated from the University of Leeds, UK, in 2010 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and moved to Australia in 2012. Since then, she has worked in general dentistry, supporting patients of all ages with their oral health needs.
Her Background in Dentistry
Louise has built her career in general dentistry, with a focus on family-centred preventative and restorative care. She enjoys caring for children at their first dental visits, adults attending for ongoing dental care, and older patients with more complex needs.
In 2021, Louise completed a BOSS Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Orthodontics as part of her ongoing professional development. This additional study reflects her interest in digital orthodontic care and broadens the services she is able to provide within general dentistry.
Family-Focused Dental Care
Louise’s clinical focus is family-centred preventative and restorative dentistry. She aims to create a calm and supportive environment for patients and places a strong focus on comfort during appointments.
Her experience includes a broad range of general dentistry services, including orthodontics and clear aligners, dental implants, dentures, and restorative care. She also speaks both English and Cantonese, which helps her communicate with a wider range of patients in the local community.
Life Outside the Practice
When she’s not at the practice, Louise is a busy mum to three young boys and enjoys spending time with her family. She also loves travel and trying different cuisines, and enjoys discovering new restaurants whenever she has the chance.
She has also had a lifelong interest in dance, particularly ballet, which continues to be one of her favourite hobbies.
